In this tutorial I used the fabulous art of
Alex Prihodko,
You need a license to use Alex’ art, available at
I used a kit called “Glam it Up”.
This beautiful kit can be purchased at
Deedles n Doodles store.
You will also need a mask, I used Big Mask 017 by
Vix.
I used the font
Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed.
I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.
Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 600 pixels, fill with white, go to Selections – Select All.
Paste Paper_6 as a new layer and go to Image – Crop to Selection and then apply the mask.
Paste Frame_6b as a new layer, resize 60%, select each section of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below the frame and fill with black, deselect. We will come back to this.
Paste Element_5 as a new layer on the top, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Spray_3 as a new layer, resize 80%, drag below the layer you filled with black, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_11 as a new layer, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_12 as a new layer, resize 55%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste your tube as a new layer and bring to the top, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow. I resized my tube 33%.
Paste Element_48 as a new layer, resize 40% and mirror, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_21b as a new layer, resize 38%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_37 as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_10 as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and move over to the left. Apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste Element_2a as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_55 as a new layer, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_49 as a new layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Worldart_1 as a new layer, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_7 as a new layer, resize 50% and flip, drag right down until it is just above the frame and position on the left, duplicate and move the duplicate over to the right, erase any parts that overlap hiding the join behind the tube and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste Element_38 as a new layer and drag up above the tube, resize 35% and flip, position directly in front of the tube and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_34 as a new layer, resize 70% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_42 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_3b as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_40 as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste Element_53 as a new layer, resize 37%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments. I duplicated the Spray_3 layer and moved the copy down so just a little showed at the bottom of the tag.
Paste your tube again, drag it between the frame and the layer filled with black and, resizing as needed, position it in the top, left hand circle of the frame. Select that section of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection as before, invert the selection and hit delete on the tube to remove the excess, deselect. Repeat this with the other two circles of the frame and the tube mirrored. I resized the tube in the top circle 65%, the one in the circle on the right 50% and the one in the bottom circle 45%. Lower the opacity on the tubes to around 50 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.
Paste your tube again as a new layer on the top, rotate it 30 degrees to the left and close it off.
Paste Element_20a as a new layer, resize 33%, rotate 30 degrees to the left and place in position. Click anywhere on the canvas outside of the element to make a selection, invert the selection and contract it by 3, make a new layer below the element and fill with black. Open the tube you rotated and, resizing as needed, position it in the mirror, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect. Apply the drop shadow to the mirror with the box “Shadow on a new layer” checked then drag the tube up so it is between the mirror and the shadow. Merge the mirror down onto the tube, merge down again onto the shadow and down again onto the black layer. I resized the tube here 33%.
Paste Spray_6 as a new layer, resize 60% and place in position.
Paste Element_30 as a new layer, resize 30%, duplicate mirror the duplicate, place each butterfly in position and apply the drop shadow to each.
When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a png on a transparent background.
